Bordering Goa, Dodamarg taluka falls under the Sindhudurg region of Maharashtra state. Surounded by the hills of the Western Ghats, Dodmarg is an excellent tourist destination for holidayers, photographers, writers and musicians etc. Serene and picturesque - is the shortest way to describe the place that is naturally gifted by lush greenery, rivers, backwaters, waterfalls, mountains, plantations, wildlife and dams etc. There are also a few high drivable mountains that are extremely exciting for adventure driving. The highest ones include the road climbing to the Mangeli waterfall and another towards Belgaum highway which gives a heavenly view of the region from the top.

Since Dodamarg is 30-40 minutes drive from Goa city centre, it can be included in the holiday. If not the Goa airport, then the Thivim railway station in North Goa is the nearest ( approx. 20 kms.) Those driving from Mumbai can take the road from Sawantwadi and others from Karnataka can take the one from Belgaum.
